1. Who We Are

Chat2Evidence ("we", "our", "the tool") is a paid, browser-based tool that helps individuals convert WhatsApp chat exports into court-admissible PDF evidence documents compliant with Section 63 of the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA), 2023. The service is currently free during its launch period. The regular price after launch will be ₹499 per evidence document. The tool is operated for users in India and accessible at chat2evidence.netlify.app.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

Because Chat2Evidence is 100% client-side (runs entirely in your browser with no backend server), we do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to:

• Your WhatsApp chat files or their contents
• The names of parties in your chats
• The SHA-256 hash values generated
• The PDF documents you generate
• Your device model or phone number entered in the form
• Any personal information entered into the certificate form

Chat processing — file reading, parsing, hashing, and PDF generation — happens locally in your browser's memory. When you close the tab, chat data is gone. For payment and authentication, we use Razorpay (payment processing) and Supabase (user authentication via Google OAuth). Your name and email from Google sign-in are stored only for account management purposes.

3. Google AdSense and Cookies

This website uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Specifically, Google may use cookies to:

• Show you ads relevant to your interests (interest-based advertising)
• Measure ad performance and click rates
• Prevent the same ad from being shown too many times
• Detect and prevent click fraud

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or by visiting www.aboutads.info.

4. Analytics

We may use Google Analytics or similar tools to understand how visitors interact with our website in aggregate (page views, session duration, pages visited). This data is anonymised and does not identify individual users. No personal data from your chat files is ever involved in analytics.

5. Third-Party CDN Libraries

The tool loads the following libraries from third-party CDNs to function:

• JSZip — from cdnjs.cloudflare.com (ZIP file extraction)
• jsPDF — from cdnjs.cloudflare.com (PDF generation)
• Google Fonts — for typography (DM Sans, DM Serif Display)

These CDN providers may log your IP address when your browser fetches these resources, as is standard for all CDN requests. We do not control this data. Please refer to Cloudflare's and Google's privacy policies for details.

6. Your Rights

Since we do not collect any personal data from your chat files or form inputs, there is nothing for us to delete, correct, or provide access to. If you have concerns about the AdSense cookies, you may:

• Use your browser's cookie settings to block or delete cookies
• Opt out via Google Ads Settings
• Use a browser extension such as uBlock Origin to block ad tracking

7. Legal Disclaimer

Chat2Evidence is a formatting and documentation tool. It does not provide legal advice. The PDF and certificate it generates are for formatting purposes only. Always consult a qualified advocate before submitting evidence to any court. We are not responsible for how the generated documents are used in legal proceedings.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the tool after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
